Open Rank Faculty Member for the Doctor of Physical Therapy

 

Franklin Pierce University, in partnership with the national search firm Scott Healy & Associates, invites applications and nominations for the position of Open Rank Faculty Member for the Doctor of Physical Therapy in New Hampshire. Franklin Pierce University seeks a collaborative faculty member that specializes in Cardiopulmonary and/or Integumentary Care and is committed to the profession of Physical Therapy and the inclusive excellence of our students.

 

Reporting to the Director of the DPT Program, the DPT Faculty member will play a key role in shaping the next generation of physical therapists. This full-time, 12-month, in person faculty position involves curriculum development, delivery, and assessment, as well as student advisement, leadership in service to the university and profession, community outreach, and scholarly engagement. Additionally, there may be opportunities to serve as a lab instructor or teach modules within courses. New faculty for the DPT in NH will join a well-established in-person program that is committed to providing evidence-based educational practice.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deliver, and assess curriculum for DPT students.
  • Advise and mentor students.
  • Provide leadership in university and professional service.
  • Engage in community outreach efforts.
  • Contribute to scholarly activities.
  • Potentially serve as a lab instructor or teach course modules.

 

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., D.Sc.)
  • Certification and/or experience in cardiopulmonary and/or integumentary care.
  • Physical Therapy licensure in New Hampshire or eligibility (license obtained within 90 days of employment).
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience.
  • Demonstrate effective and innovative teaching in academia (full-time or adjunct) or in clinical settings.
  • Expertise in physical therapy management of patients with complex medical conditions.
  • Experience in inpatient care management across the continuum of care.
  • Willingness to travel for university-related purposes, if required.
